Artist Statement

In "HOPE & GLORY," I delve into the depths of memory and experience, weaving a tapestry of emotions and imagery that blur the lines between fantasy and reality. Inspired by the echoes of my early travels in Europe and the enchantment of the traditional circus, my work invites viewers into a world where narrative reigns supreme over concept.Through a fusion of oil, collage, and fine art ink jet prints, I explore the intersection of figurative and abstract elements, inviting viewers to embark on a journey of introspection and contemplation. These pieces are not mere representations; they are windows into my soul, shaped by afterlife encounters, literary inspirations, and the wisdom gained through meditation.Drawing from a diverse array of influences including Betty Godwin, Gerhard Richter, Richard Diebenkorn, René Magritte, David Lynch and, Alfred Hitchcock I seek to create a visual language that transcends boundaries and speaks to the universal human experience. "HOPE & GLORY" is not just a collection of artworks; it is a testament to the power of art to evoke emotion, provoke thought, and inspire hope in the hearts of all who behold it.
